Hi friend! You know what brings me great joy? Clearing out clutter and getting organized. Today I am doing just that all while showing you what I’ve got stored up in my camera bag! Check it out:

1) The Bag

I love this Lowepro Camera Bag! It comes with me to each photography session and all of my traveling adventures. This bag is especially awesome because it has multiple compartments. The lower compartment houses my camera, lens caps, and memory cards while the middle/upper compartments house hair ties, lenses, batteries, client paperwork, and my laptop.

2) Flash

This is the Canon Speedlight 600EX-RT Flash in conjunction with the 430EX-RT. I’m not going over the specs here but what you need to know is that they communicate remotely allowing me to put the flashes anywhere in a room. I use these on a flash stand for my architectural sessions. Additionally, I have some color balance filters and a stand in the flash case.

I keep my camera, lenses, tripods, flashes, and more inside my camera bag.
3) Camera

If you have read anything about me, you’ll probably know that I absolutely love my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV (you can’t see it in the video because I was recording on it). I generally keep my 50mm prime lens on it.

4) Tripod

Check out that teeny tiny flexy tripod! I have yet to actually use this little thing. Honestly, I haven’t been in a situation that calls for it and I am not sure if I trust it to be sturdy enough to hold my camera… but it stays because I have a feeling as soon as I take it out I am going to need it.

The main tripod I is a Slik tripod. This is a fairly heavy duty stand that I take with me to most of my sessions. A really neat feature about the Lowepro bag is that there’s a tripod pocket that pops out of the bottom so you can put a foot in the pocket and then buckle it in! Super handy for hikes and traveling!

5) Lenses

I generally take two lenses with me to my sessions. The first is my Tokina 16-28 wide angle zoom lens (check out 6:15 for 28mm and 6:44 for 16mm view) and the second is my Canon 50mm prime lens.

6) A few extras…

Those are the main pieces I carry around with me but in the video I do come across a few more items like cords, batteries, and a few luggage tags. (Who knows how long those have been in there…) But there you have the gist of what goes with me on every single shoot! Let me know what you think about it and if there’s anything I really need to add to the list. Let’s reach pack-mule status folks!

I’m a Jesus loving mom of two with an eye for beautiful things. When I was a kid, I always wanted to grow up to “make things” and that’s exactly what I did.

I started out as an interior designer with a side passion for
photography. Over time, I began to find more and more joy from my work behind the camera. Once I made the jump full time, there was no turning
back.
